In May 2005, DMACC West held its first 3-on-3 basketball tournament to help establish scholarships for DMACC students with demonstrated financial need.
The inaugural event was a huge success: the support of 120 tournament teams from throughout the Midwest, event sponsors, and community volunteers raised over $20,000 for the scholarship fund. This fund enables DMACC West Campus to contribute to the development of a highly trained Iowa workforce and thus increase the standard of living for more DMACC graduates and their families.
